The only use I have from Facebook is keeping in touch with friends that live in different locations, but we communicate on Skype, so Facebook is nothing but negativity for me. All the best :)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06173772914590933734noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2955239571322186380.post-77378479702109246312013-06-03T10:17:39.522+01:002013-06-03T10:17:39.522+01:00Coulda shoulda woulda - thanks for dropping by.
Y...Coulda shoulda woulda - thanks for dropping by.

Yea, FB does undoubtably have it's uses. I'm going to miss the ease of keeping in touch with family on the other side of the world.

I didn't know about the Obama campaign having to tell kids about the difference between liking and voting. That's really interesting.

xBeautiful Things - Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12037366136763465550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2955239571322186380.post-73066527594758100012013-06-03T10:13:37.058+01:002013-06-03T10:13:37.058+01:00Hi Ms Madge. I can't help watching them and thinking, 'Who are you trying to fool, me or you?' It's a strange 21st century phenomenon that your life doesn't really matter unless you document it.

xBeautiful Things - Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12037366136763465550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2955239571322186380.post-56512046400790440992013-06-01T16:58:40.715+01:002013-06-01T16:58:40.715+01:00What you said has really resonated and I wish I co...What you said has really resonated and I wish I could quit FB but it actually works for me as I am very far away from both sides of my families and friends and it really is the easiest. I am not a sharer although since blogging I am a little more open. But I am quite shy and friendly at the same time so the web/fb is an odd platform. But like you mentioned an innocuous comment or joke shared can be completely miscontrued. But you make a valid point about sharing and liking things. Actually the obama campaign had to remind the young kids that a like is not the same as a vote!

Fabulous post, I am looking forward to more posts!Coulda shoulda wouldahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12507021618497645667noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2955239571322186380.post-24484960850703237502013-06-01T13:39:28.417+01:002013-06-01T13:39:28.417+01:00Hi!
I was actually waiting for a post form you si...Hi!

I was actually waiting for a post form you since I started following your blog a few weeks ago...and voila here's one and it resonates with me.

Not leaving yet coz I'm so far away from all my family (living with my partner in London) and it's just the fastest way to connect with them (though we also have BBM). But so many times I've seriously considered abandoning it.

Those samples of posts you mentioned...oh dear, I see them a lot too! And funny thing is, you wouldn't say/do those things face to face.

Lots of made-up lives on FB...and it's sad and sick at the same time. People don't read things that you share from your own blog posts (and they're supposed to be your friends), but ask you to 'like' or 'share' a page of something that's been shared 1Mx...and they don't even know who started it!

It's such a robotic virtual place where most have glazed eyes and fingers attached to the mouse just simply clicking and clicking LIKE away.

Foolish world at the end of the day.

Thanks for this post...finally reading something else that's got nothing to do with what they wore for the day or what they had for dinner :)

MsMadge x

PEN PHOTO PASSPORThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08118799411388572203noreply@blogger.com
